Central AR Homeschoolers was established to provide support and a close knit community for homeschooling families in the central Arkansas area. We welcome all homeschooling families of any race, religion, or the type of home education you choose for your family. Most of our membership includes the towns up Hwy 67/167, but we aren't limited to that area. Our group also serves as a main communication line to set-up play dates, field trips, educational events, moms’ nights, or any adventure the members host. We invite you to ask questions, provide information, voice concerns, or just vent about your day! We hope that our members find this to be the perfect fit for their homeschool family.
You must currently homeschool at least one of your children.. We also welcome ARVA families. At this time, we accept only school-aged children, Pre-K through 12th grade, which includes ages 4 - 18. Many families use the Pre-K year as a test run before having to make a decision about homeschooling. If your child is not old enough yet, then we would love to have your family join our group next school year. In the meantime, our board members are seasoned homeschoolers and we would love the opportunity to help answer any questions you may have.
Our group's behind the scenes work is done so by a board. This board consists of a few moms that were ready, willing, and able to make this a great group for everyone. Because we want our members to have a voice in what they want out of a homeschool group, we frequently ask them for their input on various ideas as well.
Even though most members live in the central portion of the state (which makes it easier to attend activities and form friendships with those who live nearby), our website is here to provide information to all homeschool families in Arkansas. All the event planning, fellowship, and fun, works only because of the dedicated moms, the members of Central AR Homeschoolers, which volunteer their time to make this group what it is today: a wonderful homeschool support group.
We hope you find useful information here to make your homeschooling experience easier.
